St. Peter’s is blessed once again to receive a seminarian for the summer…and this summer, we’ll be privileged to have a seminarian who’ll be a newly ordained transitional Deacon! Deacon Brian is sponsored by the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist in Lafayette. He’s a 2004 graduate of St. Thomas More High School. He entered St. Joseph Seminary College in Covington, LA and completed the prestigious Basilian Program at the Catholic University of America in Washington, DC, earning a Ph.L. in Philosophy. He was then sent to study theology at Mt. St. Mary Seminary in Emmitsburg, Maryland, where he hopes to complete an MA in Theology in May of 2013. God willing, he will be ordained to the Sacred Priesthood next summer- in June of 2013. We welcome Deacon Brian to Gueydan!
