The Holy Season of Lent begins this week as ashes are placed on our foreheads, reminding us again of our weakness and mortality. It is time to do battle against satan and sin, clinging to the Lord’s mercy and grace. I invite you to participate in these events and activities in our Parish during this holy season of conversion:

OPERATION RICE BOWL the Lenten program of Catholic Relief Services, has for 35 years, called participants to pray with their families and faith communities; fast in solidarity with those who hunger; learn about our global community and the challenges of poverty around the world, and give sacrificial contributions to those in need. Operation Rice Bowl offers Catholics in the United States a way to connect with our brothers and sisters around the world. Let’s fast with Operation Rice Bowl this Lent.
